font-family: Tahoma">بيش‌تر كاني‌ها نام‌هاي كهني دارند و اثر واژگان يوناني و رومي را بر خود دارند. برخي كاني‌ها نيز به نام كاشفشان يا براي سپاس‌گذاري از كوشش‌هاي دانشمندان بزرگ نام‌گذاري شده‌اند. به‌طور كلي نام كاني‌ها به روش‌هاي زير برگزيده شده است: <o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><p class="MsoNormal" dir="rtl" style="text-justify: kashida;
